In 2013 a National Road Safety Strategy was developed in collaboration with key stakeholders. In response to the recommendations set out in the strategy the Ministry of Public Health revised the NHS 3.9 Road Safety Project to reflect the health outputs identified. The Road Safety project will encompass many areas from enhancing access to education on a range of road safety topics, integrating campaigns and initiatives linked to road safety (co-branded) with Ministry of Interior, ensuring better access to emergency services, through to enhanced rehabilitation services for severely injured.
As the National Health Strategy Program 2011-2016 draws to a close, project information is currently being updated and will be available in the coming weeks.
